I had to tell reader Leanne Zapala that her story wasn’t really news. But that’s a good thing.
Zapala presented a scenario typical of the stories I hear at least twice a week from readers:
“After grocery shopping at Meijer … I loaded my groceries into my car and, in my haste to provide a parking spot for a car waiting to turn in, I pushed my shopping cart into the cart coral and left my purse in it.”
You know the rest: Panic. A retracing of step. More panic. Distress. Anguish. And, finally, the discovery that somebody turned the purse over to the folks at the store's service desk. Contents intact.
It happens all the time. Every day. In every part of town.
Take a bow.
