The subject of Kendra Northrup’s email to me: “McDonald’s doesn’t like animals.” But all you have to do is look at the menu to know that’s not true.
Northrup wrote that as she was going through the drive-through at the McDonald’s on W. Saginaw, near Canal, she saw a chicken running around the parking lot.
Northrup added: “I asked at the window if they knew anything about the situation, and they said that it had been running around all evening and that they weren’t concerned.”
Worried about the chicken’s safety, Northrup and her sister tried to catch the bird, but couldn’t. Eventually, Northrup said, the manager of the restaurant ordered them to give up the chase.
Northrup wrote “ … The animal lovers of Lansing may want to choose another establishment (to patronize) … because this McDonald’s doesn’t care if an innocent animal gets killed in their parking lot.”
Hmmm … I wonder what those McNuggets and burgers are made of …
