Izzo on the lookout for guards

There's still nothing official -- and there won't be this season -- on Korie Lucious for 2011-12, but here's a clue: Tom Izzo said he's looking around for 2011 guards. "We're gonna be out recruiting some people," he said.

Nix the doomsday stuff (for now)

Well, Michigan State was outplayed again at home by a supposedly inferior foe, found a way to win again (just like against Wisconsin and Northwestern, not so much like Michigan), "saved the season" again, kept the NIT -- er, NCAA -- hopes alive, got another heroic game (26 points, 43 minutes) from Kalin Lucas and more clutch plays (especially those free throws) from Draymond Green, showed they have some fight left. Players who talked openly about a national championship three months ago now talking about the chance they'll even get to compete for it.

Just a couple more things to keep you confused

Latonia Guider had this to say today about her son, Korie Lucious: "Korie needs to grow up. He needs to become a man. He needs to step into the role of a man, instead of being a little boy.
