Game action for Arthur Ray Jr. was the aforementioned surprise. He saw three plays near the end of the game for the White team.

Jones to Giants; Rucker to Colts

The New York Giants just drafted Greg Jones with the 20th pick in the sixth round (No. 185 overall). And the Indianapolis Colts then took Chris L. Rucker with the 188th pick.

Dion Sims took a short pass from Kirk Cousins, flattened Isaiah Lewis and outran everyone else for a 42-yard touchdown, an eye-opening reminder of what he can do on the football field.

Here are few things worth watching if you're at Spartan Stadium today -- or if you're viewing the game on tape delay at 8 tonight on the Big Ten Network (Will Tieman and Jason Strayhorn on the call). You can also purchase the live stream online at bigtennetwork.com, and the game will be broadcast on radio to several affiliates -- 1240-AM in the Lansing area -- with George Blaha on the call, former Spartan/current New York Jet Eric Smith on color and Adam Ruff on the sidelines.

Overtime with Lloyd Carr; MSU safety injured

For those who attended Thursday's Duffy Daugherty Memorial Award banquet, you got to see DeWitt twins Caleb and Jacob Higbie receive $500 apiece in scholarship money on their way to Saginaw Valley State; Rockford coaching legend Ralph Munger receive the high school award (presented by Joe Staley, the former Rockford and CMU star and current 49ers tackle) in front of seemingly the entire community of Rockford; and Lloyd Carr take home the college award, with Brady Hoke, Mark Dantonio and many of their respective assistant coaches in attendance.
