This is Denny in again for Joe. Looks like Wisconsin has found the quarterback they needed to replace Scott Tolzien.
Just a little tidbit for those still trying to gather some last-minute U2 tickets for their show at Spartan Stadium on Sunday, Jun. 26.
With the final stage setup solidified and the viewing lines determined, Live Nation has announced that a final block of tickets priced at $30 have been released for sale and are available now.
These tickets as well as select tickets at all price levels are available via LIVENATION.COM, all Ticket Master locations or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.
Solari here. If you languished through the endless second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday night -- like both Kalin Lucas and Durrell Summers probably did waiting to hear their names and as I did in the office waiting for it to get over (and to see how far Darius Morris would fall) -- you heard a ton of unrecognizable names. But no Lucas. And no Summers. Then, just before it ended, the shock of the night: Erazem Lorbek was involved in a trade.

This is Denny in again for Joe. Talked with Lansing Sexton's Onaje Miller and Muskegon DE and Spartan signee Damon Knox today at Media Day for the 31st Annual Michigan High School Football Coaches Association All-Star Game up at Central Michigan.

This is Denny in for Joe. Spots in the 2012 Michigan State recruiting class are going quickly. Rivals.com is reporting that the Spartans have received verbal commitments from WR/DB Kyle Kerrick of Coatesville, Pa., LB Jamal Lyles of Southfield and TE Josiah Price of Greentown, Ind.
This is Denny in for Joe. Michigan State sophomore wide receiver Donald Spencer will transfer. The transfer was confirmed by associate athletic director John Lewandowski.
Spencer was a four-star recruit according to recruiting website Rivals.com out of Ypsilanti High School in the 2009 class. Spencer redshirted in 2009 and saw action in seven games in 2010, mainly on special teams. He had two career catches for 21 yards, both coming in last season's loss at Iowa.
Soon-to-be Michigan State sophomore guard Keith Appling has been named to the 2011 USA Basketball U19 World Championship squad. Appling will be part of a 12-man roster that will play in the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship in Latvia. The tournament starts June 30 and runs until July 10.
Michigan's Tim Hardaway, Jr. also made the team. The squad will be coached by newly-named George Mason coach and former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt.
The team will complete its domestic training Thursday at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. and then depart for Europe on June 24.
This is Denny Schwarze filling in again for Joe. I will be here for the remainder of the week. My apologies for the delay, but I was driving back from the DC area all day and just got back a little after 8 p.m. ET. Former Sexton All-State runningback Onaje Miller has been granted a release from his letter of intent. He was ranked the 14th-best player in the state by Rivals.com for the 2011 class.
This is Denny Schwarze in for Joe. As I mentioned earlier, Canton (Ohio) McKinley H.S. defensive end Se'Von Pittman gave a verbal commitment for Michigan State earlier today. Pittman, who is ranked the 61st-best prospect in the country for 2012 by Rivals, becomes the sixth member of the 2012 MSU recruiting class. I'm also in Northern Virginia as I write this, and both Pittman and Rory McIlroy made my choice to not attend today's final round of the US Open a good one.
