Weekend Riff: Lady Gaga in Michigan, New CD for Lansing's Bloodletting, Art Alley in REO Town Hosts Concert Series
-Friday: The Lansing Symphony Orchestra and Motown group Spectrum combine talents for a night, when the "Music of Mowtown" rolls into the Wharton Center on the campus of MSU Friday. Check out an interview with LSO musical director Timothy Muffitt in this week's What's On Local Music Beat.
-Saturday: Lansing metal fave Bloodletting releases its second full-length, "The Ever After," on Saturday, Feb. 26, at The Loft in Lansing. The group, Phil LaMay (vocals), Chas Millican (bass/vocals), Mike McKeever (guitars), Kris Finison (guitars) and David Floyd (percussion), blends progressive metal and melodic hard rock with passion and angst. Past credits include performing alongside national metal bands Sevendust, Otep, Egypt Central and more.

-Also Saturday: Santa Barbara, Calif.-based vocal group SoulAviv will sing in concert at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in East Lanisng Saturday. -Tuesday: A few days past the weekend, Lady Gaga brings her traveling circus, "The Monster Ball Tour," to the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids Tuesday, with tickets available via Ticketmaster. Coinsedentally, her "Born This Way," video will premiere on MTV Monday.
