Get Out: Aaron Lewis of Staind Brings Solo Show to FireKeepers Casino Friday
Un-plugged: Aaron Lewis of Staind Brings Solo, Acoustic Tour to FireKeepers Casino
Aaron Lewis would be lost without music.
“I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have music as a way of getting things off my chest and expressing feelings and thoughts that I’m not necessarily very good at in day-to-day life,” he said via cell phone last week.
With that passion and heart, it’s no wonder Lewis, with his pain-soaked vocals, is one of the most recognizable voices in '90s/'00s alternative rock, alongside vets such as Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Maynard Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle).
Lewis brings his current solo, acoustic tour to Firekeepers Casino on Friday, April 1. His latest endeavor 2011’s, “Town Line,” which sees Lewis going from Kirk Cobain-inspired grunge to Willie Nelson-like country, complete with collaborations with George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Chris Young.
