Locals Only: Fade to Black Gear Up for Mac's Show
Lansing music: Fade to Black eye 2012 release
Lansing-based rockers Fade to Black are on the up. The band's latest studio album, 2010's hard-hitting "Black is Back," has scored heavy airplay on FM radio, satellite and Internet radio in the U.S., Canada, Italy and the U.K. "Hey Baby," their current single, is No. 2 on the Reverbnation local metal chart.
Then, in February of this year, the guys released their first-ever live album, "Live in Lansing," and went on to play a thick run of shows throughout the summer. Now, Fade to Black are in the process to taping their new studio album, which they're calling "G Street Panorama," with Lansing-based sound engineer Ian Walker. Expect an early 2012 release from the guys.
Fade to Black play Thursday at Mac's in Lansing, and openers include Sleepeater and Fatal Demise. That's oodles of metal!
