Locals Only: The Lansing Symphony Orchestra and MSU Team Up for Show
Members of the MSU Choral Union and University Chorale will present Mozart’s Coronation Mass with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra on Saturday at the Wharton Center, working under Maestro Timothy Muffitt. The second part of the concert will showcase Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No. 4 in E-flat Major, “Romantic.”
Four vocal guest artists will join the symphony to sing along with the ensembles, as well, including soprano and College of Music faculty member Anne Nispel; Oswego, N.Y.-based alto Nicole Weigelt; Juilliard graduate and tenor Paul Appleby; and bass and Michigan State University and Juilliard graduate Benjamin Clements.
