Now Trending: Download Pearl Jam’s Sept. 11 Show for Free on Google Music

Google Music offers free download of Pearl Jam's Sept. 11 concert
Google officially kicked off its online music download store last week, and the response from the greater technology community has been overwhelmingly positive. Artists delivering exclusive songs and sets just for the occasion include Coldplay, the Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam and more.
As for Pearl Jam, Google Music is offering a killer live collection from the grunge rock guys that’s a must-have for any fan of Eddie Vedder and the crew. Google Music's "Toronto 9.11.11" collection features Pearl Jam’s entire Sept. 11, 2011, performance at the Air Canada Centre.
Obviously, this wasn’t just a regular Pearl Jam gig. On this tenth anniversary of 9/11, Vedder and company performed covers of Mother Love Bone’s “Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World,” as well as Pearl Jam favorite “Daughter,” “Black,” “Alive,” “The Fixer” and “Elderly Woman Behind The Counter in a Small Town.”
During “Rockin’ in the Free World,” Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready even heads off stage and hands his six-string to Young, who comes up and jams with the band. Neil Young and Pearl Jam rocking out together is reason enough to pick up this free collection. Download the 26-track assortment, which includes two encores, via Google Music.
