"Pumped up Kicks" hit-makers Foster the People have announced an extensive 2012 tour, and it includes a Michigan stop. The guys will play the Fillmore in Detroit June 16, so there's plenty of time to decide whether you want to trek out to the show. Tokyo Police Club are set to open for the Detroit date.
On various other dates, the Kooks and Mayer Hawthorne & County will tour with the band.
Foster the People certainly ruled 2011, as the band's debut full-length, "Torches," scored the Los Angeles guys scored a 3x platinum single in, "Pumped Up Kicks." Additional alternative rock hits "Helena Beat" and "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)" followed towards the end of the year.
Now, Mark Foster and group are in the running for two big Grammy awards: Best Alternative Album and Best Pop/Duo Group Performance. Good luck, guys!
