-Friday: Ann and Phil Case and Cathy Barton and Dave Para present Old-Time Music Duets at the Ten Pound Fiddle Friday. Ever wonder what the Fiddle is all about? Read about the organization's mission and message in this week's What's On Local Music Beat, including an interview with publicity coordinator Jamie-Sue Seal!

-Friday: Fusion Shows presents not one, but two shows at Mac’s Friday! First up, it’s post-hardcore band Citizen, which brings a punk edge to their heavy tunes. The Toledo, Ohio, guys played Bled Fest last year, and now they’re back for an early show with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Then, East Lansing-based hip-hop / dubstep performer Green Skeem plays the venue’s late show, along with the Specktators, Ajax Stacks and INOV8. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. for the late show.

-Saturday: Saturday’s Mac’s Bar bill features a collection of great indie rock bands that help keep Midwest rock alive: Narc Out the Reds, Calliope, the Guest Stars, the Infernal Names and Little American Champ. It’s rare to have all these first-rate indie players in one place!

-Saturday: Folk-rock favorites the Aimcriers bring their high-octane Americana to the Grand Cafe Sir Pizza in Old Town Lansing on Saturday. Lately, the band have been playing out in Detroit, Downtown Lansing, Marshall and Jackson, building a loyal following. This is the band's first show in Old Town in three years!

-Saturday: "What Was I Thinkin" hit-maker Dierks Bentley (above) brings contemporary country sounds to Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort Saturday. His upcoming album, "Home," will debut on Feb. 7, so expect Bentley to play plenty of new songs at the show. Find show details in this week's Lansing State Journal. -Sunday: The Jazz Alliance of Mid-Michigan (JAMM) presents its third annual Tribute Fundraiser & Silent Auction honoring Gene and Sue Rebeck on Sunday at Perspective 2 in Old Town. Read more about the show's cause and lineup in this week's What's On Local Music Beat.

-Show announce! Snoop Dogg at the Intersection in Grand Rapids Jan. 31. Doors open at 8 p.m., and tickets are $35 in advance.
