-Saturday: Jackson-based metal quartet Hollow Drive release their latest full-length, “Einheit 20/20,” Saturday at the band's CD release show at Lansing's Uli's Haus of Rock! -Sunday: The Capital Area Blues Society hosts its ninth annual Beale Street Bound Blues Party Sunday at the Green Door Blues Bar & Grill. The event is a send-off party and fundraiser for the winners of the CABS Blues Brawl, who will travel to Memphis to compete in the 2012 International Blues Challenge at the end of this month. The fundraiser will help raise money to offset travel expenses for the performers.
CABS Best Blues Solo/Duo winner Andy Wilson & Johnny D. and Best Blues Band winner the Hoopties with Twyla Birdsong will perform Sunday, before heading to the Challenge as Lansing's affiliate representatives. Additional performers Sunday include Doc Yankee's Piano Party with special guest Mike Skory, Stan Budzynski & 3rd Degree, 3 Guineas & a Frog and the Boscoe-Gee Blues Band featuring Martila Sanders.
