-Friday: Lansing native Ben Keeler moved to Chicago years ago, but he loves coming to his hometown to play a show every once in a while. Ben Keeler and the 500 Club bring their rock and roll to the Loft in Lansing on Friday, with openers Revolution Nation, Bear Lake and Jonesday.
-Saturday: Popular Mount Pleasant-based group Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers bring their wispy, indie folk-rock tracks to Mac’s Saturday for “Joe Hertler’s Rainbow Fest.” The lineup features Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers, Valentiger, Alco, Redbird, Red Pill, Skinny Black and Sloan Kettering and Parent the Seas. -Just around the bend: Ann Arbor rockers Taproot (top photo) release their new album, “The Episodes,” Tuesday at the Machine Shop in Flint.
