-Thursday: King of Rock presents Hawthorne Heights at the Loft on Thursday, and the show features a lineup of great Michigan bands: Absinthe Junk, Red Cedar Riot, Black Oxygen, Catalina Wine Mixer and Basement Shark Attack.

-Friday: Derek Smith is back as Hank Williams! The local musican and Elderly Instruments celebrity portrayed the late country star in Lansing Community College's production of "Lost Highway: The Hank Williams Story" in 2010, and he's back to reprise the role for a special  Ten Pound Fiddle Concert at the Creole Gallery in Old Town, Lansing, this Friday.

Derek will be solo for the first set, singing and telling stories about Hank Williams. He will be joined by the Drifting Cowboys in the second set, featuring Elden Kelly on guitar, Drew Howard on steel guitar, Bob McCloy on fiddle and Joe Bakaitis on upright bass. For more information, head to the Fiddle's official website.

Friday: Popular Detroit rock band Electric Six hit the Loft in Lansing on Friday, thanks to Fusion Shows! Get the details via Fusion Shows’ official website.

-Saturday: Matisyahu (above) rose to fame in the mid-‘00s, thanks to his affinity for easygoing, pop-reggae that really caught on with the alternative-minded crowd. Now on his fourth studio release, 2012’s “Spark Seeker,” Matisyahu is out on a headlining tour, and the run hits the Loft in Lansing on Saturday. Find more information via Fusion Shows’ official website.

-Off the schedule: Catch a big metal bill at Mac’s on Wednesday, featuring Genocya, All Ends Black, Six Feet Under and Cattle Decapitation. For more on the show, head to Mac’s’ official site.
