Can't it just be over?
I'm a self-professed news geek. I have no problem watching most news channels for hours on end when there's a big story breaking. Take last night's election results coverage. I had CNN on from 8 p.m. till 1 a.m. and then was updating the CNN and NYTImes web site on my laptop (once "Daily Show" and "Colbert Report" started taping; I do have some priorities) hoping that the very slow vote counters in Lake County, Indiana would get their act in gear and finally release their counts. But when all was said and done, I felt exhausted - and not just because it was very late.
With Sen. Hillary Clinton's narrow win in Indiana, all I could think of is the fact that the Democratic primary election campaign WON'T STOP. Look, I like/dislike both candidates for various reasons, but I could easily live with either of them as a candidate. The fact that the Democratic Party has such quality candidates to choose from is something they should be celebrating. But if this keeps continuing much longer, the party is going to wear itself out with the back-and-forth bickering between Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama and everyone's just going to be so tired of the whole process that November won't be able to come soon enough for anyone. It looks like Clinton might finally bow out of the process soon. While I know it would be a difficult decision for her, I do think there are a lot of opportunities for her should Obama be elected president. Maybe a Secretary of State role? A Cabinet position? I think Obama would acknowledge the value she could add to his team. Let's just hope a move comes quickly.

Hillary consider a cabinet position, with OBama as president? Are you kidding...she wouldn't be able to run the show, and she does not take second place to anyone, gracefully. And, neither one of them has any foreign policy experience. Nor do either one of them respect the military. OBama wants to gut the military, and appease the terrorists, by setting down to the table w/them. I hope neither gets in office.
