Happy Graduation T!

BalloonsSaturday my younger sister Tricia graduated from MSU with a James Madison degree!
If you're familiar with MSU than you know that James Madison is kind of a big deal, so obviously I couldn't be more proud of my girl!!
Having graduated from the College of Communications Arts and Sciences at MSU four years ago, it was really interesting to experience a totally different graduation ceremony. (Here's Tricia w/ her siblings and our Grandparents--My grandpa is also an MSU grad).

Gradkids Grandparents

First of all I graduated at Breslin Center with about a million other people. She graduated at the Wharton Center with only 250 people.

And while almost everyone who graduated with a Com Arts degree kind of felt lucky to be getting their undergrad, the grads at Tricia's graduation look at this as only their first half of schooling.

There was so much talk about law school (which is what she'll be doing), grad school, the Peace Corps, Teach for America and more, it's clear that MSU loves their Jame Madison grads and knows most of them go on to do great things. They even hosted an after grad reception at Case Hall, which is where most of the JM students lived freshman year.
I'm not saying I'm jealous because I know how hard she worked for this degree and how much work she has ahead of her at law school, I'm just saying I'm proud.

And my parents should be too. They have two down and two to go. My brother doesn't know where he'll be attending college after he graduates next year but he sure has a lot to live up to!!

Congrats T and good luck in the fall!
