Looking for someone with fine jewelry

I'm working on a story about investing money in jewelry for the upcoming April issue of Greater Lansing Woman magazine. I'm looking to speak with someone who has invested in jewelry, gemstones or precious metals in his or her past. The kind of jewelry I'm interested in has been certified by a world-renowned gem laboratory, like the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and was bought and/or sold at an auction house like Joseph DuMouchelle's in Grosse Pointe Farms.
