Walgreens recently announced a new catalog, "AARP Health Essentials by Walgreens" and a new Web site aarp.walgreens.com to provide AARP's 39 million members across the U.S. access to discounted health, beauty and wellness products.
The new catalog and Web site offers a five percent discount, exclusively for AARP members, on more than 20,000 products.
Baby boomers spend more than $525 billion a year on healthcare and are responsible for 61 percent of all over-the-counter medication purchases according to a report published by The Resource for Marketing Executives.
The Walgreens' products featured in the catalog include supplements, skin care and personal care products along with thousands of other products across multiple product categories such as vitamins and nutrition, health care, fitness and diet, beauty and spa, home medical, medical and nutrition, personal, household, baby and children, electronics, food toys, gifts and seasonal products.
AARP members can shop conveniently online at aarp.wellness.com or through the printed catalog. Products purchased from the catalog or Web site are conveniently delivered directly to the member's home in the continental U.S. with free shipping for purchases over $50. All products include a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. In addition, members can return or exchange items at any Walgreens 6,000 locations. If a member can't find something comparable to what they have purchased in the past they can call toll-free at 1-866-202-4020 and a representative will help the member find what they are looking for.
